Following on Twitter – How Many Follow You?

by: Paul Irvine

Following on Twitter is becoming somewhat of a religion to many users of this versatile yet fun software a 7 letter word which up until a few years back was jargon for bird song. And the genius that came up with the idea to use it as the name of what is one of the fastest growing social networks most be one of the most popular people on the planet as everyone will be with him following on Twitter.

But enough poppycock, you’re here to see how you can gain a massive following on Twitter. Hopefully my choice of “massive” is adequately accurate.

* First and foremost – Decide what you are using Twitter for. If it is purely to see how many followers you can get then there are various tools at your disposal for searching the “twitterverse” for anyone and everyone you could possibly want to add. Bear in mind that if you add randomly, the chances of them following you are remote.

* Create meaningful Tweets- Have some influence or purpose for your followers. It is vital to create Tweets with real meaning and not just “My breakfast was awesome!” or “Isn’t the telly awful tonight?”. Again it’s down to your usage of Twitter. These Tweets would be fine for friends and family but do you really think potential customers or colleagues want to know these irrelevant items of conversation? Of course not.

* Be polite at all times – I cannot stress this enough. If you go on there and don’t thank others for a follow or start verbally abusing others then trust me, you will see that following begin to fall rather sharply back to big fat zero! There are various searches that others carry out (some of them very influential on Twitter) and if they black flag someone then you might as well logout, create a new account and start all over again.

* And finally – Don’t spend all day on Twitter, once you get into the thousands where your following is concerned, there is no way you could possibly keep up with everyone and what they’re doing (Twitter may have derived from bird song, but do you think every bird on the planet knows what the other is doing?) One extreme example of someone wasting their life on Twitter had spent over 2500 in a year conversing with their 86,000 followers (Wow!). Exceptional following but what did it actually achieve except serious wrist sprain and lack of sleep? I’m guessing not a lot.

So just to wrap up, start using and following on twitter, become part of what is a very fun application, full of useful information and interesting people. Just remember the above points and your manners and within weeks you will have a dedicated following with you following on Twitter, mark my words!

Personal Branding – The Four Essential C’s

by: Liz Dennery Sanders

Differentiate or Die. Never has Jack Trout’s insightful witticism been more relevant than in today’s overcrowded brand marketplace. One thing is certain: in order to stand out, you have to stand for something. You really have to know yourself. A successful brand is authentic and confident – it doesn’t hide behind false promises or vague innuendos.

Personal branding is not just about building an image to portray to the public; it is about understanding your unique attributes, skills, values and passions and making sure these permeate every aspect of who you are and what you do. Ask yourself, “What is my unique promise of value?”

There are four “must haves” in order to build a powerful personal brand. I call them the “Four C’s of Personal Branding.” Without these, you will have a hard time attracting clients, enhancing visibility, boosting revenue and thriving in a challenging economy:

Clarity: You must be crystal clear about who you are and who you are not. A successful personal brand is true to who you really are. Volvo is about safety not speed, Four Seasons is about luxury service not affordability and Disney is about family entertainment, not slasher films. If you are outgoing, quirky, creative and high energy, you will not succeed by communicating the attributes of calm, steady, professional and reserved. You also want to pinpoint your target market and figure out what’s most important to them. Before you can move forward in the branding process, it is imperative to spend a good amount of time with this first C, as it will be the foundation for everything you do from here.

Communication: Once you have a clear understanding of who you are, what you stand for and who you are trying to reach, you will be much better equipped to communicate your message to your target market. Your brand needs to be visible to those who need to know about you. Consider all possible communication tools across multiple marketing channels (both online and off) and select the combination that works best for you. Perhaps you enjoy blogging and writing articles. Maybe you enjoy social media and want to build a strong following on Facebook and Twitter. Or you feel that speaking engagements and workshops are more appropriate for your brand. Whatever the case may be, you will want to put together a communication plan for your brand that puts you out there in front of your target audience.

Connection: People want to do business with those that they know, like and trust. As a powerful brand, it is your job to make an emotional connection with your target market. How do you do this? It is imperative to focus on benefits and results, not features. Your ideal client doesn’t want to know what you do, they want to know how you can help them and what the results will be from working with you. For example, if you are a financial planner, your client doesn’t want to know what accounts you can open for her or that you’re available 24/7, what she really wants deep down is to know that you can help her put her two kids through college and help her to retire by age 55 so that she can finally take that six month European bike tour she’s been dreaming about for 10 years. If through your unique promise of value you are able to appeal to someone’s pain and passion, then you will have a powerful brand indeed. As you connect with others, remember the acronym WIIFM. The client always wants to know, “What’s in it for me?”

Consistency: Your brand attributes and values must permeate everything you do. If one of your key brand attributes is “zen personality” and your brand color is purple, then you’re not going to send out a screaming loud direct mail card in bright orange and red. You wouldn’t host a salsa dancing party with flamenco dancers for your clients, but you might sponsor a lecture at a Japanese tea garden. It is imperative that there is a brand consistency with everything – from your logo and collateral materials to how you conduct meetings and how you dress on a daily basis. Always ask yourself, “Does this represent my brand attributes of x, y and z?”

If you take your time with these four essential C’s of personal branding, then you will be well on your way to understanding yourself better, enhancing your visibility, reaching more ideal clients and building a thriving business.

7 Budget Friendly Internet Marketing Tips

7 Budget Friendly Internet Marketing Tips
by: Mande White

It seems everyone now is watching their money and looking for ways to stretch their marketing dollar. Here are 7 Budget Friendly Internet Marketing Tips. Every tip listed can be implemented for under $200 (for the entire year) plus a little elbow grease! How’s that for stretching your dollars!

1. Get a website-$80 a year or less

If you’ve got one-great-make sure its updated. If you don’t have one you need two things to get one up by the end of day. You need a domain name and then domain hosting. You can do both at GoDaddy.com or HostMonster.com. You can walk away with a basic plan for less than $100 a year. Next, Install WordPress and the Atahualpa* theme (google ‘Atahualpa wordpress theme’ to find) and build a quick website. Do not get roped into using the website builder software that comes with web hosting. WordPress is FREE and comes a lot of support from others who use it at wordpress.org. Bare minimum your website needs is information on how to contact you (phone/email/physical location), list of your products services. Add some pictures and you’re good to go.

2. Start Blogging-FREE

Why? How? Oh my! Here’s how to make it really simple. Again, you’ll need WordPress and the Atahualpa theme installed at www.yourdomain.com/blog (ask your hosting provider how to do this if you don’t know how). Then 3 times a week- type a brief message/article/how-to tip/customer interview/monthly special as a blog post. You can google things like ‘blog post ideas for small businesses’ and get a lot of tips on things to blog about.

3. Create a Facebook Page for Your Business-FREE

Get your business a Fan Page set up on Facebook. Go to: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php and walk through the step for setting up a Fan Page. After you set up a Fan Page-send an email to all your current clients and customers asking them to join. Whenever you make a blog post-send an update to your fans. Also keep fans updated on specials or discounts that your business might have. Think about offering a “Facebook Fans Only” special.

4. Create a Facebook Group-FREE

A business Facebook Group will let you communicate and get to know your current customers. A group allows you to privately message members much like someone being on an email list. You can also have discussions in the group about products or services that you offer.

5. Create a Twitter Account-FREE

Local News stations, police departments and local newspaper have started using Twitter to keep followers up-to date. After you set up a Twitter account, invite all your current clients and Facebook Page friends to follow you on Twitter. Then begin watching the conversation. Start by re-tweeting what others have said. That means copying something that some else has said in your tweet update box and putting a “RT” in front of the message then sending it out to your followers. This allows the message to be seen by others in your group that the original message might not have been seen by. It builds trust and loyalty. People like when you acknowledge what they say or do. Then tweet about things that are going on with other local businesses that are tweeting.

6. Start or continue your email newsletter-$120 or less

If you are blogging this can seamlessly be tied together so that every blog you create automatically gets emailed out to your newsletter subscribers. I recommend iContact for this as their service allows for autoresponders, email newsletters, surveys and RSS feeds. If you are blogging 3 times a week-there are 3 emails that go out to your subscribers every week! Plus if they like the article it’ll drive traffic back to your website.

7. Set Up Google Alerts-FREE

Go to alerts.google.com (you need to have a gmail account-create one if you don’t already have) and type in the name of your business in the ‘search terms’. Select Type: “Comprehensive”. Select ‘How Often”: As-it-Happens and have it delivered to your gmail address. This service will send you an email anytime your company name is mentioned.

Also set up google alerts for general industry terms or products that are related to your business. This will provide you with ideas for writing blog posts as well as quickly keep you updated on what’s being said about your business and your competition.

There you go! If you’ve already got all these in place-Super Job! Watch out for a future article on “Advanced Budget Friendly Internet Marketing Tips!”

It’s All In The Marketing

It’s All In The Marketing
by: James Lehnen

Its all about the Marketing

There is a saying in real estate business that we have all heard, “location, location, location”. Well, in the Internet Business world its, “marketing, marketing, marketing”. Marketing is everything. I can’t say it enough. Let me give you an example–if you had a bucket of nice shiny diamonds, and you dumped them in your driveway and waited for people to come by and get the diamonds, how many people would come by. NONE, thats how many. Why? Because you did not market the diamonds. You did not advertise the beautiful expensive diamonds just sitting in a nice pile in your driveway.

My point being, it does not matter what your selling, or how great a product it is. If you do not market it the correct way, those diamonds(your product) are not worth a dime! So, I guess the question is, “how do I market my product?”

In the Internet world there are literally thousands of ways, and places, to market your product. You could try articles, classified ad, traffic exchanges, social networks, paid for advertising on websites, google PPC, and many more. The problem most Internet marketers have is that they are marketing the product. This is wrong! “What the *#&@$” you say. Just here my out. You have to market YOURSELF, not the product. YOU are the brand that people are buying.

Let me give you an example. Ray Kroch started Mcdonalds 60 years ago, he knew way back then that you had to market the brand, not the product. Were his burgers better than everybody elses. No, of course not! Did his shakes taste better than the soda shop down the street. No way! He new he was promoting the brand “Mcdonalds–a great place for families and kids that can provide you with a cheap meal at a great price everytime.”

In the Internet Business, YOU are the Brand. You are marketing yourself. Market how you can HELP someone accomplish what they want. If you are promoting a MLM business, then market how you can HELP the customer build his business. Thats the secret that so many people trying to make it in the Internet Marketing business do not know about.

A guy was trying to sell drills to make holes. He showed people his drills, but nobody bought them. He realized after months of trying to just show his drills, that he had to find people who wanted to make holes and show them how his drill would HELP them make their holes. Stupid analogy, but you get my point. Successful Internet Marketers know how to promote themselves as the BRAND. Just look at some of the “gurus” of the Internet marketing world and you will find out that what I am telling you is the truth.

So, the moral of this article is to always believe in yourself. Market yourself and you will become successful.

Hosting Company Must Do’s

Hosting Company Must Do’s
by: Matt Bacak

Having the right hosting company for your online business is crucial if you are looking to expand and grow your business over the years. It is especially important as well if you intend to have a “brand” of websites or simply several websites with plans for expansion. Recently I was asked why I don’t recommend GoDaddy for hosting. Well, the reason is that GoDaddy has a lot of limitations for the online business owner and these limitations can hurt an online business.

You need to find a hosting company that has the following:

Find a hosting company that is going to give you your own unique IP address. It’s going to help you from a search engine marketing perspective and an email marketing perspective. If you have a unique IP address already and are thinking about giving it up, I wouldn’t recommend it because right now IPs are like gold on the internet. You’re going to have to get a special account where you are getting that unique IP address. If you’re just starting out online having a unique IP address isn’t a real concern. But if you plan to grow your business it is crucial that you get one.

You also want to find a hosting company that has cPanel . Having cPanel let’s you know that a particular hosting company runs on a Unix/Linux server. The reason for this is being on a Windows server has issues similar to the same issues as if you’re using a Windows computer. You don’t want to be on a Windows server. A lot GoDaddy is a very Microsoft based. They do a lot of business with Microsoft so a lot of their things are Microsoft-driven. I’m totally against Microsoft-driven servers because there are simply too many problems and limitations for the average business owner.

Another reason I don’t recommend GoDaddy is their limitations for sending autoresponder emails. I recommend you use Autoresponse Plus and I also recommend that you install it on your hosting account. GoDaddy servers are problematic in regards to this. Their servers are not set up to work well with Autoresponse Plus. They limit the number of emails you can send out per day. I’m not sure of the exact number but you’re only allowed to send about 200 emails per day with the GoDaddy servers. After that they start charging you. Once you go past 200 a day, for every ten emails you send out beyond that number, they charge you around ten bucks or something like that. Now to me that’s insane because as a business owner especially if you’ve been around for a long time, your lists will be far greater than 200. This is a huge limitation for any online business. Now you can see how important it is to choose your hosting company wisely.

Since we know that GoDaddy’s hosting company is not the best fit, what are the best hosting companies in my opinion? Well, there are several companies that offer the necessary capabilities outlined above. I highly recommend FatJack as it has everything I’ve mentioned above.

There is also ThirdSphere. However, there are some issues when dealing with ThirdSphere, especially if you build your list beyond 20,000 people. I recall this being the limit. Once you get past 20,000, you start getting charged for sending out emails above that number. If you don’t plan on building a list that big then you could look into their services.

But remember, getting a Unix/Linux server for your hosting account is extremely important. I can’t recommend this enough. Planning ahead and understanding the software and their capabilities is essential to running a profitable online business. Failing to do the research could kill your company. Hopefully I’ve assisted you in making an informative decision. I’d like you to grow your company even further than you can imagine. Good luck!

Five Tips to Enhance Your Online Branding

SF Giants vs. LA Dodgers - 4th of july, 08

Five Tips to Enhance Your Online Branding
by: Ray Ricardo

Research on online consumer trends has demonstrated that people are far more likely to buy from businesses they recognize and trust. In order to gain attention and credibility on the Web, you need to find the best possible ways to enhance your online branding efforts. The Internet allows businesses both large and small to reach out to a seemingly endless global audience, which means there is an enormous potential for success.

How can you improve your online branding? While there are literally hundreds of techniques to help increase brand awareness and recognition, many of the most common strategies can be expensive and time consuming. Fortunately, the Web makes it easy and affordable to make a name for yourself and build your online reputation. The following are some of the best ways to increase the effectiveness of your online branding efforts and reach out to a wider range of potential customers.1. Design and Publish and Business Website

Perhaps the most important step in creating your online brand is to build a business website. This website will serve as your main online presence and will act as a headquarters of sorts for all of your online promotional efforts. Your website should be distinctive, easy to navigate, and full of useful information.

What should be included on your business site? Before you decide, think about exactly what purpose you want your website to serve. Do you plan to sell products directly on the Web? Then you should include an online catalog with shopping and e-commerce capabilities. Is your website designed to generate leads for your business? Then you should focus on providing information that will inspire visitors to sign up to learn more.

2. Improve Your Search Engine Visibility

According to most experts, as much as 90 percent of your website traffic will come directly from the major search engines. Consumer research also indicates that online shoppers tend to trust websites that appear at the top of search engine page results more than lower ranking websites. In order to generate site traffic and build credibility with your audience, you need to ensure that your website earns a high position in search results.

In order to improve your ranking and position, it is important to learn the basics of search engine optimization (SEO). Basic SEO strategies include choosing target search terms that your audience is looking for, creating content that utilizes these search terms, and gaining incoming links to your site. There are a number of free online tools, such as the Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool and the Google Keyword Tool, that can help you select the best search terms for your website.

3. Utilize Blogs to Create a Following

While some still think of blogs merely as personal journals, online marketers and branding experts have discovered the powerful effects of these easy-to-use tools. Blogs allows businesses to connect with an audience quickly and efficiently. Bloggers are able to establish a more personal connection with readers and inspire them to return often. Blogs can also be syndicated using RSS feeds, allowing your materials to be distributed to a much wider audience.

4. Take Advantage of Word-of-Mouth Marketing

Selling goods and services online can be tough, but word-of-mouth marketing can dramatically increase your website traffic and sales. Users are far more likely to recognize and trust your online business if it has been recommended by someone they know. The key to establishing online buzz is to give your readers something to talk about, which can range from great Web content to free Web seminars. Think about what your customers are truly interested in and utilize this information to start successful viral marketing campaigns.

5. Ensure Consistency in all Marketing Materials

No matter what tools you are using to promote your brand online, you always need to ensure that your message and tone are consistent. Your blog, website, sales letters, and press releases must all convey the overall theme of your business. If users are confused about exactly what your business is or does, your branding efforts will be far less effective.

In order build a successful and lasting online brand, you need to have a thorough understanding of who your target customers are and what they are interested in. Take advantage of online tools, utilize effective search optimization, and try new ideas to help establish your brand on the Web. By building a reputation as a trusted authority, you can dramatically increase your site traffic and online sales.

Creating Powerful Marketing Tools Is Easy

Creating Powerful Marketing Tools Is Easy
by: Lynne Saarte

Creating powerful tools for your business is actually easy. It is not rocket science or anything. It is more of a practical way of getting things done and achieving your goals for your business. What makes one marketing campaign a stand out from the rest of the competition is in the way you convey your offer. The manner in which you proffer your product or service in your custom posters or even cheap poster printing for example, can make or break your marketing campaign efforts.

When writing your content for your cheap poster printing for one, you need to be very descriptive about it. Descriptive words can capture an audience that no other ordinary word could. Descriptive words cater to the visual in all of us. Hence, when you are offering an item or a service, do not just say the features; rather, describe it in a way that suggests delight and temptation to sample what you are offering your marketing collateral’s such as your custom posters.

The key is to make your content more than words to describe a feature. Make your content create an outstanding product out of an otherwise ordinary one. With a few simple words, attract your target audience with content that delights that they would want to go back for more of your offer.

Include humor in your words. Humor they say closes the gap between two people. Use funny anecdotes and stories to keep your audience occupied. How do you think stand-up comedians get to be so popular? With wit and humor, that is. Inspire fraternity and comfort with your cheap poster printing for example, and you are more than likely to hook your audience to your message.

Make it easy for your target clients to understand you. Do not be so keen on the technicalities of your business, because guess what, nobody cares. If you make it easier for your target audience to get to the core of your message quickly, the quicker it is for them to get to know you. This would also mean an easier time for them to make a decision in your favor. There is nothing more frustrating than a copy that is cluttered with too much unnecessary information that it confuses your audience with what you really want to say. Make yourself memorable. Provide easy-to-understand content that your readers can easily follow.

Veer away from jargon’s and highfalutin words. You do not need to impress your readers with words that they would not understand anyway. Go for simple if you want to build trust and maintain their attention. Always remember that using language they cannot understand will fail to build a connection between you and your audience. So stay clear from over pompous words, and be sure to give them clear and concise wordings that they can easily relate to.

Just follow these simple tips and you can never go wrong with your marketing collateral’s such as your custom posters for your business.

6 TIPS FOR BETTER WRITING

Northern CA

6 TIPS FOR BETTER WRITING

Mar 4th, 2009 Posted in Article Marketing, Writing Techniques

by Bob McElwain

When writing most anything, the objective is produce copy
that is easy to read. This is particularly true on the Web,
because chances are the majority of your visitors and newsletter
readers are in hurry-up mode. They’ll pass on anything that
seems hard to read. Here are ways you can improve the
readability of your work.

1) The simplest word available is the best choice.

Mark Twain often got paid by the word. He once commented he
preferred city over metropolis. Sure, the “joke” is that he got
paid for either word, and that city is quicker and easier to
write. But he also knew it made his work easier to read.

2) Avoid using adverbs and adjectives.

“This is very hard to do.”

“This is awfully hard to do.”

“This is hard to do.”

Which of the above do you feel is the best? I’ve asked a
loaded question here, for “best” doesn’t really apply. To
strengthen your work, minimize the use of qualifiers. There
is simply no question here. The last form is the strongest.

The point? Adverbs such as “very” and “awfully” often
weaken, rather than strengthen. In the previous sentence I was
forced to use “often,” for without it the sentence is not true.
That is, adverbs and adjectives do not always mess things up.
But they often or usually do.

Alternatively, consider breaking the flow. Then hit hard.
For the above, try:

“This is an awesome task.”

This is a stronger claim than, “This is hard to do.” Which is
best depends upon the way you want to make your point and who
you want to make it to.

3) Keep sentences as short as possible.

Above, “This is hard to do,” is also the better choice, for
it’s shorter. Here’s a sentence I wrote for another purpose.
(I’ll refer below to this as the, “Original.”)

“Subheadings must flow from the headline, revealing the
major benefits so that at the end of the page, the reader has
a good feel for the content, even when only the headlines are
scanned.”

It’s much, much to long. 34 words. While it’s not hard
to read, it does slow reading because the length makes it more
difficult to follow. Personally, I try to hold to under 15
words, and less whenever possible. Even though it’s longer
(45 words), the following revision is easier to read.

Revision #1: “Subheadings should flow from the headline.
Each should reveal a major benefit to the reader. And at the
end of the page, you want the reader to have a good feel for the
content. This matters because most only scan the headlines and
subheadings.”

4) Seek brevity and eliminate unnecessary words.

Revision #2: “Subheadings flow from the headline. Each
reveals a major benefit to the reader. Collectively they need
to describe page content. This matters because often only
subheadings are scanned.”

This version is only 28 words. Which of the above do you
prefer? Actually this is another trick question in two ways.

First, it’s the wrong question. You should be asking what
your readers prefer. The better question is which of the three
versions best makes the point clear to your readers? And which
will they find easiest to read?

Second, what you prefer does not matter. That’s just
personal reading taste. What does matter is which of the above
better fits the way you want to write.

I might use the original form to introduce a topic. Then
follow up with a paragraph or two about each of the key points
included or implied in the sentence. However, Revision #1 is
stronger, and usually my choice.

5) Use Bulleted Text

Revision #2 is a bit blunt. It doesn’t flow well from
beginning to end. If your writing tends to be in this form,
use lots of bulleted text. In this format, brief works great.
Further, there’s no requirement for even complete sentences.

Subheadings …

> Flow from the headline

> Reveal a major benefit to the reader

> Collectively describe page content

> Are often all your visitors sees when scanning

Bulletting allows brevity. And it makes it easy for your
readers to follow. One thing I love about this format is that
it adds more space to the page. It helps to erase that sense
of great black globs of text.

6) Edit and rewrite. Then do it again. And again.

Editing often lifts modest work to first rate. But to
make this happen, think of this fundamental task as more than
editing. Think of it as rewriting. Do so routinely, and your
work will improve with every piece you write. Always seek …

> A better word than one you have used, and a simpler one
is best

> Try to replace several words with fewer

> Rewrite an entire sentence, even a paragraph, if
you can find a way to make your point more clearly
and/or briefly
6 TIPS FOR BETTER WRITING

Wrapping Up

You can beef up your writing just as you can improve any
skill. All it takes is time. In the above, the need for
rewriting part of your work is the item most often overlooked.

It’s tough to impossible to keep all such ideas in mind as
you seek to communicate your thoughts. One effective approach
is to focus on one idea each time you begin writing.

If you seek to improve one aspect of your work in each
writing session, then edit and rewrite Psychology Articles, your work will constantly improve. Try it. And see for yourself.

Advantages of Joining Multiple Affiliate Programs

Advantages of Joining Multiple Affiliate Programs
by: Vladimir Khachaturov

There are lots of affiliate marketers roaming the web and leaving behind advertisements every chance they get. The products and services they advertise vary and the corresponding commissions generated depend entirely on the terms of the affiliate program. Some affiliate programs pay a lot more than others per sale, yet these programs don’t gain excessive attention for 2 reasons.

First the products or services that they are offering are too expensive so making sales are difficult. Secondly, the product or service that they are advertising might not fit the interests of the marketer and may not match the website that the affiliate marketer has set up.

Despite that, there are still people that are making a ton of money. Why? The affiliate programs that pay fewer commissions are usually easier to market and get sales from. The variety is much greater too so you should be able to find something that fits your website. This might not give you much income, but if you join several affiliate programs, you can earn a whole lot more. In addition to that, there are other advantages of joining multiple affiliate programs as well.

Same Marketing Techniques Apply

Remember that no matter what affiliate program you join, you still need to apply the basic principles and consistency of marketing. Combine that with minor multitasking skills, and you’ll find yourself marketing several programs at the same time so no time is really lost even if you signed up for several affiliate programs. The trick is start out with 1 or 2 and then slowly add more after you earned from your two base affiliate programs.

Related Affiliate Programs can Boost the Chances of Getting Sales for the Ones Involved

If you have your own website or blog with steady traffic, it is important to choose an affiliate program that is related to the site so you have better chances of making sales. The same thing goes when adding another affiliate program in the mix. There is even a possibility for a single visitor to take both products and services listed on the ads so you get more income. Related affiliate programs have great potential for your website especially if they are properly placed.

Encourages you to Build Another Profitable Website

Dedicated internet marketers may be able to handle more than a single website. The website can be completely separate from the first site so you can have different ads aimed at different audiences.

Allows you to Get Paid More Often

There are some programs that pay monthly while others can be bi-weekly or even weekly. Combining a monthly paying affiliate program with a weekly paying program can increase the amount of cash flow that’s coming to you. It can also reduce the gaps between payments which is always a good thing.

The risks of joining several affiliate programs are very low because affiliate programs don’t cost any money to join. As long as you stay consistent with your marketing and follow the proven techniques, you should find yourself with more income.

Why Promotional Items Have An Effect On Buyers
by: Rowan Isaacs

Spending money on promotional items in this economic climate might seem like a luxury for a business, but it’s not. The fact of the matter is that promotions can have a very big impact on clients and potential buyers. There are certain features that creative and effective promotional marketing campaigns can deliver that other forms of advertising simply cannot rival.

Promotional Products Association International, an American-based industry organisation, points to a number of proven facts about promotional items that show just how smart of an investment the right promotions happen to be. Unlike other forms of advertising, promotions can appeal to the senses by reaching out not only to the eyes and ears, but also touch, smell and even taste. What sets a good campaign apart is its tangible nature.

Some of the factors that make using promotional advertising a smart idea include:

* The ability to drive traffic – When companies set up at community events, tradeshows and other high-traffic gatherings, the tables that offer promotional giveaways are generally the most trafficked. This is especially so if promotions are creative, unique, fun or useful.

* The ability to improve direct mail campaigns – Most people find themselves inundated with “junk mail.” When direct mailers are turned into welcomed arrivals thanks to the inclusion of promotional giveaways, recipients tend to take notice. If the items capture attention, the likelihood of response rates going up is certainly present.

* The ability to increase incoming referrals – When people enjoy a product or service, they tend to pass on the information to friends, families and co-workers. The right promotional materials can serve as reminders to clients about those products and services. Items like promotional t shirts, key rings and other promotions that have the ability to stick around for a while can also generate their own leads as wearable, portable advertisements. This is why logo t shirts and promotional caps are so popular.

* The ability to improve return business rates – Promotional items that “stick around” can serve as very strong reminders to previous customers to return when they need a particular product or service. Things like promotional calendars, magnets, pencils, pens and other tools that can be hung on to for a while can pay off with repeat business down the road.

* The knack for increasing employee morale – Promotional polo shirts and other similar items can work very well for boosting employee morale and helping workers feel like part of a team. As trivial as it sounds, little touches like these can go a long way in helping employees identify with their company and feel like an important part of a bigger picture.

Promotional items can have a huge impact on buyers simply because they are different. While radio, television and print adverts can work extremely well, promotions can take on a life of their own. Unlike the one-dimensional world that most ads live in, promotional campaigns can speak to all the senses and have a staying power that extends well beyond a 30-second spot or a single day in print.
